Endurance racing is one of the popular equine sports in the UAE. Horses with stamina to compete over long distances in the desert compete and are housed in different stables located in Dubai Endurance City.

As part of the racing facilities, a Crew Station which functions as staging area for the crews of individual competitors was added to the Endurance City.

The Endurance City Stables and Meydan Stables are training facilities in the Endurance City district. While the Endurance Stables was and expansion project, the Meydan Stables was a brand new facility on a new site to replace a the old ones.

At the Endurance Stables, desert barns, paddocks, horse walkers, storage and workers’ accommodations were added to the existing facilities to accommodate the increase in the horse population.

For the Meydan Stables, an approx. 2,800 Sq.M. site was allocated for this new facility. To create a functional layout, two 24-stall barns were laid out in the centre to form the core of the facility with other various components – Admin Office paddocks, arena, horse walker, hay storage, and workers’ accommodations located around them. A camel pen is also located nearby.
