TAK’s involvement in designing for the more specialized needs of the equine industry includes stables for equestrian horses. The Emirates Equestrian Center satellite facilities at Bab Al Shams includes warm-up arenas, exercise arenas, main arena, barns, lunging rings, horse walkers, office, and groom’s accommodations. Taking cognizance of the harsh desert climate, the barns are designed to provide comfortable conditions for horses during training and competitions. With Dubai set to be a regional hub of a flourishing horse industry and a potential force in world competitions, equestrian centers are proving to be a necessary infrastructure.
